In the late summer of 2021, the National United States Air and Space Forces Association asked local AFA Chapter 221 to create a video of the history of the unit and their work. The result of an almost three year effort is the product below. A 40 minute documentary and the 15 minute video for the National Association.
The Buzz Wagner chapter of the Air Force Association was chartered in July of 1983. It was renamed from the Laurel Highlands chapter to Buzz Wagner to honor one of our local aviation hero’s, the first Army Air Corps ace of WWll. The chapter is continuously looking for new members to help preserve the history of our local hero’s, support youth in aviation through Civil Air Patrol and Junior ROTC.
